This guide walks you through building a new outreach sequence that includes both email and SMS steps, configuring wait times, using templates for sourced and applied candidates, and then saving and checking your final sequence.
Step 1: Open the Outreach Sequences Area
Navigate to the Outreach section of the platform and click on the Sequence tab to view all existing outreach sequences.
Step 2: Start Creating a New Sequence
Click Add Sequence, then select New to begin creating a sequence from scratch.
Step 3: Name and Create the Sequence
Enter the sequence name and description, then click Create to open the sequence editor and continue setup.
Step 4: Add the First Outreach Step
Click Add First Step, select your preferred outreach channel from the dropdown menu, and configure the wait time. Choose the application stage to decide whether this step should apply to Applied or Sourced candidates. If you want the same step for both candidate types, enable the Create same step option.
Step 5: Attach an Existing Email Template
Click Add Template and choose an existing template from the available options, or create your own custom template. Link the selected template and assign it to the email step.
Step 6: Create a Custom Email Template for Applied Candidates
Navigate to the Applied tab and click Add Template. Enter your custom email Subject and Body, or choose from the available templates. Preview the template, provide a name such as "My Custom Template", and click Save Template to attach it to the sequence.
Step 7: Add a Second Outreach Step
Add another step to the workflow and select the communication channel you want to use, such as SMS, Email, or any other available option. Configure the wait time for this step according to your outreach flow.
Step 8: Create and Attach an SMS Template
Within the SMS step, click Add Template and write your SMS message content, including any variables you want to use. Give the template a name of your choice and save it to attach it to the sequence.
Step 9: Save the Outreach Sequence
Click Save Changes in the top-right corner to finalize and save your outreach sequence.
Step 10: Review and Verify the Sequence
Return to the Sequence list and open the newly created sequence. Verify that all steps, channels, wait times, and templates are correctly configured for both Sourced and Applied candidates.
